Keep up with the Webworks and do the practice tests. Everything is fair game for the tests. You will never be tested on questions that are not in the Webworks, practice tests or have not been done in class.

It's a very entertaining class. Teacher is very engaging and makes sure everyone is listening and understanding. Teacher is approachable and ensures that class notes are always posted on the LEA forum (disclaimer: the notes are taken by someone in the class, not the teacher himself). You receive weekly WebWorks assignments to help you practice (these are graded, they do count for your overall mark! ) which are more challenging than the material you do in class and the material you'll get on the test. To review for tests, go over your notes and make sure to do the practice tests that will be posted. He doesn't throw you any curveballs - make sure you understand what you've done in class, and you will be fine. There are two tests and they have the same format as the practice tests which are posted a week before the exams. There are proofs you will have to memorize and which will be on the tests, so take some extra time to memorize those. Explanations are straightforward and clear. Sometimes he skips steps when working out problems on the board, which can be confusing, but if you take a few minutes to work it out on your own, you'll be able to figure it out. Attendance is not taken. You can use whatever technology you want. Most important point: DO NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER WHEN HE'S TEACHING. If he tells you to be quiet, then be quiet. If you keep talking, he might revoke your formula sheets (his mantra to this end is "help me to help you", so as long as you make an effort, he will also make an effort). This class can be summarized with an expression he's very fond of saying: "The more you practice in class, the less time you spend crying/praying during the test. " Overall, this man was born to teach. 100% recommend taking this course.

Please make sure to practice a lot. I took cal 2 with him, it was overall nice but he expects you to know many basic math concepts and formulas. First exams are based on the webworks and class notes so do practice them and check the textbook too.
