she is really sweet and is really passionate about what she teaches. However, if you don’t like speaking up in class or communicating with others, i dont suggest taking this class since there are many in class activities that require teamwork that count for participation marks. Overall, it was an interesting class but may require you to step out of your comfort zone.

I took her class of World: Land and People. She's VERY strict with phones. Don't take it out or she'll get upset. She's very enthusiastic about teaching and learning which can be great but also annoying when the class is at 8 am. She often puts us in groups or asks us to talk with person next to us to discuss the topic. Review the slides for the tests/exams. They provide useful info. And I would say memorizing notes is important for this class. She likes it when people are social and who like to speak out, so if you're neither of those DON'T take her class. She gives assignments/homework every few weeks. The homework usually takes 10-20 mins to complete. But her assignments can take hours. If you take her class, I suggest you make sure to set some time aside for her work cuz she will be giving a lot.

I had her for Intro to Geography ( The World: Land & People). This class was super interesting and was surprisingly not as easy as it seems. The teacher is super nice, very knowledgable and active, she makes you do random activities to make the class more fun. (She brought us outside to draw trees during our first week with her lol). However, she really does use the whole 75 minutes of her class, she talks a lot and goes through a lot of slides so make sure to write everything down, you also need to draw the sketches!!! There are a lot of sketches in her exams. Speaking of the exams, they’re hard. Memorizing random facts about the sun, nature, immigration etc isn’t enough. You actually need to understand why and how natural phenomenons happen so make sure to pay attention and try not to skip class because there’s sometimes group assignments that count for like 2% or 5%. There’s always group work to do so if you’re not a social person, don’t pick this class. If you like group work and learning about nature, culture and population then I would definitely recommend this class, it was very eye-opening. Just know that you need to put a lot of effort in to excel. I would rate it a 7/10 overall.

I took her class online, so everything was posted online. The powerpoints and readings are super helpful and links from her powerpoints should not be disregarded. Study and understand what's given and you will ace your quizzes and tests.
