Very chill teacher but i do not feel like it translates into his grading. His essay guidelines are not strict but his grading is.

Just pay attention to his class and interact. Lots of bonus points are available to you

I took contemporary theatre class with him and all we would read is very fast plays. This was really great because they would not take too long to read. The essays and exams were heavily centered around the class discussions that we would have and as long as you're listening and taking notes, you practically get the answers to the essay questions. Tips: AVOID plot arguments/proofs and go deeper into CHARACTER ANALYSIS. This class is very character centered. The teacher is whimsical and fun and the class discussions are always funny. Oh also I should mention that the oral presentation is a play! You can choose which play you want to perform. Really cool class especially if you're a theater kid. (I forgot to mention that there are surprise quizzes so make sure to pull up to each class, also this teacher is very heavy on participation and you need to be there and speak and socialize to get a good grade)
Class of 2020
He takes attendance (online-learning) but it doesn't count towards your grade. He NEVER responded to my emails/mios or even read them for the longest time. His class is fun, engaging, but lots of mini-essays about readings every week. Lots of reading, maybe too much?

There is a lot of reading, more than I can handle. The reading pace was too fast for me to keep up with.
