had him for 102 knowledge and i really enjoyed his class. you might be lost in his lectures but trust me, it’s not that bad. he gave us 3 assignments (1 individual and 2 groups) and it really helps you for the tests. you’re allowed any hand written notes and your assignments for the tests. write down any information based on the material that you’ve been learning since he grades your hand written notes. if you come in with printed notes, he will thoroughly check them to check if they’re AI (unless it’s your assignments). the assignments are very long, we had to answer a minimum of 3 questions on the group assignment with around 400 words each question so manage your time wisely. the tests (midterm and final) were based on the assignments so there’s really no studying but there’s a lot of writing. overall, he’s a very chill teacher and his grading is very fair. just show up to class, take notes and you’ll be fine.

i had luke for both logic and critical thinking (humanities 101) and Challenge of Modernity (102) and i loved him! he lets you have your notes during tests, which are multiple choice and then you have to explain your answer. so even if you get the multiple choice wrong if you explain yourself well enough you can still get a lot of points. the readings are sometimes a bit long and confusing but he goes over it in class.. also the assignments are in teams, but he grades you individually.. ultimately he’s a really good and interesting teacher, just make sure you show up to class for the notes:)

You don't necessarily need to memorize, but to understand the subject. You dont have to memorize little details, as long as you know how to explain the big picture. Assigns some big readings, but as long as you read at least a couple pages you should be okay. Though, reading fully is best, it is not needed.

as soon he assigns readings, read them and take notes because getting behind and feeling stressed because of it is way too easy in his class. also make sure to understand the material completely before doing an assignment or test because he can be a tough grader

While you might get his class early and be a little zoned out, watch the movies, pay some attention and read the readings and you'll do great.
