Class of 2025
If you take his Structures of Power class get ready for lots of reading. We read 3 books and had reading assigned every class. We have quizzes every class about the reading worth 2% all semester so be prepared. He is a nice guy and his classes are quite chill but there's a heavy load to do on your own time. The midterm is in class but the final essay is a take home. If you attend all the classes and do the work you'll be fine.

Great teacher and very interesting materials! But there are A LOT of readings, writing assignments and other projects to keep up compare to other English classes.
Class of 2020
make sure to do the readings and you're set. one of the best english classes i've ever taken (power and colonialism). lectures aren't the most engaging but material is second to none and his essays and project are straight-forward

Hes super nice, I really liked him as a teacher. I ended with a 93 in his structures of power class. We did have to read 3 novels which were extremely long, but his quizzes are genuinely really easy to get 100 on. He gives one every class. He's an AMAZING grader. Like it's almost impossible to get under 80 if you at least put effort. If you want good grades, take him.
