I was initially hesitant to take Kreshnik because of the mixed reviews on here and on Reddit, but after having done a semester in his class, I can say that your interpretation of him as a teacher will depend entirely on how you are as a student. If you're the type who slacks off in class and doesn't listen, then I can assure you won't enjoy it. On the other hand, if you're the type who enjoys learning, you'll find Kreshnik is very smart and willing to share his knowledge with those who want to learn. I took him for Waves and the way the class is structured makes it so that most of the marks are focused on labs, WWs, and quizzes, which are easy points. As such, the exams aren't worth as much, which means you get more wiggle room. All of the class notes are posted online (https://gauss. vaniercollege. qc. ca/~physics/KRESHNIK_LECTURES/) and they are super useful for studying. As far as in class is concerned, you're best off writing the important formulas then applying them during the in-class exercises (otherwise expect to be yelled at).

He is a great teacher, the hate is unwarranted. For any student taking his class browsing this website in worry, the man's got an entire WIKI page with everything you'll need to pass his course, office availability every day of the week, morning/afternoon/& even evening on microsoft teams. Posts hand-written solutions to all the exercises which by the way aren't even homework because you'll do them in class. Technically speaking there is 0 homework appart from extra work you choose to do that he'll give you bonus marks on. He is super lenient with deadlines, even extending webworks if you send him a MIO. His tests earily ressemble the in-class work. Is he monotone? Sure, but cut man some slack he's responsible for practically the entire physics department at vanier and it's not even a matter of tonality, he's got the sort of eastern european accent but it ain't heavy and doesn't pose a problem. Personally, I believe the low grade could be attributed to the fact that he is a teacher of many courses 2 of which (NYB & NYC physics) are difficult, thus as people fail them, they tend to vent here a little. I'm no fence-rider, I'm barely passing too, but he is still a quintessential teacher.

I had him for Mechanics and did well. Labs are easy and simple. he gives more than enough practice problems for each topic. He is always available if students need help.
