Take notes and ask a lot of questions otherwise you’ll be lost. Buy the course manual and do all the exercises because if you don’t, you’re in for a rough time.
He usually puts examples from class notes and examples from the quizzes on the tests. Make sure to regularly look at your notes to keep up. Don’t worry too much about the textbook and the labs (we only had 1 full lab report in the entire semester). Overall, a decent teacher if you understand the material.
HIs weekly quizzes are based on his notes, so practice them very well. He has suggested textbook Qs which u should do- but his exams are more based on his notes. he explains really well. But I had him online and after the midterm he goes asynchronous and my grades took a hit fr. In person he'd be a very good teacher. Take him if u can manage self studying
Don't aim to write everything he says, try to write down what you find important. Then, later, go through the concepts in the textbook and do the assigned problems in there. Those textbook questions will prepare you for his quizzes which will prepare you for his tests. It's really not that complicated.
