I had her for Comparaison d’œuvres littéraires. Her exams are okay, always bring a dictionary because a lot of the texts have old timey words. Also be here on time, or else she’ll stare you down till you go sit. She also gives simple homework assignments in the beginning of the semester, they’re boring but do them well cuz they’re basically free points.

the tests are pretty fair as long as you study at least a bit. The way she grades is more generous than other french teachers. Overall a good teacher.

As long as you put effort on your work, it is easy to score a high grade

Had her for panorama de la littérature française... She's an engaging public speaker, but the material is very heavy. It's essentially a history class about different artistic genres and the historical context surrounding their development. There are no tests on the content you learn in class, only quizzes - not usually more than one page, double-sided. Not worth that much, but it pays off to study for them anyway (difficulty is not very hard, if you listen in class, you should be more than fine). There are, however, two examens d'écriture and two examens de compréhension de lecture. Among the big assignments to do: You'll have to read a short play, analyze it, and discuss it in class with the other people who've read it (she calls this a "table ronde" and it's worth about 6% of your overall mark). You also have to present a scene from a play called La cantatrice chauve - it's an acting performance done in groups. You memorize the lines and present your scene in class. There are no other presentations besides that. All in all, interesting class, fun discussion topics, and a good teacher.

Had a 103 french class with her (panorama de la littérature française), It was honestly easy, the tests she would give, you have to memorize a few things but overall she doesn't assign that much homework. some of the questions on her tests are tricky sometimes but I would definietly take her again. I ended up having in the high 80s even though the average was high.
