be smart, he teaches as if you are a uni level sometimes, or maybe my class weren't smart enough, all the 20 of them disappeared to be 8 of us surviving in his class.

I had him for a 101 class, honestly he teaches quite well but I think the problem wasn't him but the content of the course which was very boring. He doesn't allow any technology use and whenever someone would get up to go to the bathroom, he would get upset. Everyone was stressed on asking him to go to the bathroom hahahha. He does assign some homework but they are only for your own benefit, If you put in the effort, you should end up having a good grade, around 80-85. I also think the way he is a toug grader when it comes to essays. and about 8 people out of 30 people would show up to his classes.

Do not use your phone in class, you will be advised to put it in your bag or else you will be dismissed. He takes attendance every class and you can lose participation points if you don't show up to class. Homework is given every class and is really helpful for assignments and tests.
