Really understand the concepts, the questions on the exams will be ones you never saw before but you have to use your knowledge to find the answer. It is difficult but it gets better as you are more used to it.

I had him for cellular bio 1. If you review after every class, really understand the concepts and their applications and go to his office hrs for questions, you will be good. Don't let difficult concepts pile up because they're all related. Review the in-class practice questions. His tests are pretty confusing and difficult but if you really understand how all the concepts come together and how biological systems actually work, it will be much easier :)

Dont be stupid thinking you will just have to memorize slides. You need to understand them.

The tests are super confusing, complicated and almost impossible to pass! And be prepared to learn the entire course material (and be tested on it) before the material is even officially taught!

I had Edward Awad for Anatomy & Physiology I, a biology course for nursing students. He's very knowledgeable and knows the material. The course material was very heavy as were studying the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, and skeletal systems. He was always understanding and happy to go over a concept. In order to succeed in the course, it requires a lot of effort to review the material and understand the concepts.

Real rollercoaster in my opinion. It was very difficult at the start, the concepts are not that bad if you really study well and understand it. The exams are on real life concepts( diseases) and youll have to apply yoour knowledge there. My advice would be to really research your subject so that youre even more prepared. Other than that, I do feel he is a very qualified teacher and cares about us. The material is very interesting so enjoy.

He's a great teacher. The ratings are so low only because of the people who do not know how to study.
