the mid term essay and final essay are very important, a lot of close reading is necessary and knowledge of the literary techniques is strongly recommended.

I took her 103 class (Performance, Gender, and Identity). To succeed in her course, please do all the readings and participate in class. A lot of people sat at the back of the class and almost did nothing this semester, and they most likely will get a bad grade. For essays, you will have to know your stuff, and literary techniques for close readings. However, the quality of the content will vary according to your understanding of the class. So, if you do bad on essays, say bye to your R Score cuz mid term and final are worth 30% respectively. Please take her class seriously, she is a wonderful teacher, and she will care if you vibe with her.

Make sure to review all the notes and worksheets she gives for tests. Don’t leave the mini essays to the last minute since they start to pile up. Keep up with the readings, take notes in class and you’ll be fine. She gives a lot of homework during the beginning of the semester but it calms down as you get towards the end.

Dona is such a queen. Just take her class. It is not even a loaded class. Most of the ppl in the back of the class barely submitted assignments, or have even read the documents. DON'T BE LIKE THAT. That's embarrassing. Everybody kinda laughed at them cuz why are you like that in college? Don't abuse of her kindness cuz she might be stricter on you for essays if you magically do good when you did nothing all semester (that goes for any teacher). The class will have some Shakespeare, but I swear bad if you do the close readings. Just listen in class, and work.
