Had him in chem of solutions. There is a lot of material so try to practice a lot but when you practice it will get easier for you. Try to do the problem set, the exercise in the book and the online assesemnet. Also use his exercises from the class.

I took him twice and he is amazing. He's super understanding and really approachable. So long as you do the problem sets and keep up on the material for the weekly quizzes you'll do fine. He's very throrough and knowledgable about chemistry, you can tell he really appreciates students who work hard like he does. His class isn't easy, but if you put in the work you will get something out of it. Use the problem sets, quizzes, online assignments, and tests to study for the final. Last year it was common and focused a lot on the first half of the semester, but be prepared for anything.

i had him for chemistry of solutions and i liked him! he is very knowledgeable and goes over the notes (which he posts on lea) really in depth.. his tests are fair, i really recommend doing the suggested problems he gives those are very helpful! he has a lot of office hours and is always happy to help you

To succeed well in this class, you need to put in the work. Hes a great teacher but expects alot from his students. As long as you put in the work and are up to date with all the material, you should be okay. If you are struggling, see him at his office hours, hes really understanding but also incredibly helpful for understanding concepts or questions. Put in the work, go through his notes, and also make sure to do his mastering chemistry quizzes as they count for extra points for tests, his in class handouts are also really helpful. Lastly stay on top of the material as there are quizzes every week, if you are not familiar with the theory then your in for a rude awakening

Just take proper notes, and review often and you should be good. He is an incredible teacher and just wants all of us to pass.

Good teacher, he explains the material very well and is a very nice person overall. On the other end, he is very strict in his correction so dont be surprised. Do the solutions exactly as he would do or youll loose a lot of point fast. He is also very strict on labs, he really wants it to be perfect but it didnt really change my grades. Overall, I would take him again and be more meticulous in my exams.

He is a bit relentless with labs every single week along with a quiz every week, but in the end it honestly pays off. The quizzes are a great reference for the tests and help with studying.

Carl is an amazing teacher. Although, with online classes towards the end of the semester he sped through the topics very quickly, whenever someone had a question he took the time to review and go through any confusion. He is very understanding and fair when it comes to grading and replies promptly to emails. He also wants his students to succeed and sometimes throws in some bonus marks if you're lucky! Overall I highly recommend Carl as a chemistry teacher, he not only knows the subject very well but knows how to teach it well to his students.
