I had her course called the Art of the Palestinian Short Story and it was a very enjoyable experience. Despite the topic being quite heavy, it was nice to learn in this environment and the teacher was always very open to hearing your ideas. She gives short stories to read about every week or every other week and she will say that you have a short quiz (really just making sure you've read). There were often assignments due in class or for the following class so missing class is not a good idea because you dont know when there will be one or not. That being said, if you attend all classes and have valid reasons for absences, it is a very nice class. Teacher does not answer mios very frequently but tell her in class and she will answer for sure. Very sweet teacher and whenever the class felt overwhelmed, she would propose to lighten the load or postpone assignments.

Honestly she cancels class a lot so if your looking for something easy this is it. The class really isn't horrible, just do the work and you'll be fine.

Asma is a very capable teacher. Lenient with deadlines. However, if you take a race related course with her, beware. It would be a very woke class and not open to conservative ideas.

Knowledgable teacher. Fair grader. Good course content. Challenging workload (group assignments almost every class). She always seems to be very tired in class. She procrastinates quite a lot, she normally just grades everything at the end of the semester.
