read everything that he asks you to read
I loved taking his class. He is very charismatic and straightforward, everything you need to know about the class and grade distributions will be told to you on the first day. For his Intro to Politics test, he gives you 10 definitions on the study guide, 7 will be on the test, you chose 4 to answer. He puts 5 short answers on the study guide, 3 will be on the test, you chose 2 to answer. If you prepare your answers well, you can get high grades in this class. The definitions he gives you word for word, the short answer you need to rely on your notes. I need help for my term essay, he was prompt in answering my email, and took the time to answer all my questions during office hours.
Pay attention when he speaks so u can take good notes. Pay attention to explanations he gives after presenting a topic. Spend a lot of time on the essay, it’s difficult, work rly hard on it
Exams count for a lot, everything he writes on the board or on a slide write it down along with the explanation he gives right after it, it will probably be on the exams
To do well in this class, you have to go to every class and take good notes. He will give a study guide with questions that he might ask on the test about a week before. The study guide will have about 10 definitions, of which you need to memorize 7 and 4 will be on the test. There will also be around 5 short answer questions, of which you need to memorize 3 and 2 will be on the test. You have to write the answers word for word how he said it in class. During his lectures he will give you the exact definition for the words that could be on the test. For the short answers you have to rely on your note-taking ability. The lectures are purely oral and he writes nothing on the board (besides certain words to show you how to spell) and no powerpoints or anything. I suggest taking notes on a laptop. He gives a quiz at the beginning worth 10%, a paper halfway through the semester worth around 30% (10% for the proposal, 20% for the paper) and 3 tests worth 20% throughout the semester. Thats it. To pass his tests you need to be very well adept at memorizing notes. If you are good at memorizing and good at taking notes, you will pass this class with flying colours. Good Luck!
