had her for la bande dessinée quebecoise (102). not a bad experience but it’s better if you have friends in her class cause there was a bit of group work. honestly, out of all the french teachers that i’ve heard from friends, i would take her. just make an effort and you’ll be fine

The classe(s) you will have with this teacher include(s) a lot of essays. What this teachers seeks to do, ultimately, is to prepare you for the French Exit Exam, that we call EUF. The average of her classes is often in the 60s, but believe me, it isn’t the teachers fault. The assignments and essays reflect perfectly what the ministry expects of students at this level, which is knowing French like the back of their own hand. If you’re not comfortable with French, you will most likely struggle, so my biggest tip would be to focus on grammar. Write short sentences. Practice writing one paragraph a week to get used to writing quickly. Your first essay with her will most probably be with a teammate: forget pairing up with your friends, and pick someone who knows what they are doing. This teachers is strict, but you can tell she really wishes for her students to succeed.

Lots of group work exams that count so get good partners. Strict on deadlines so be wary of that. Compared to other teachers, is a strict grader because she wants to prepare you for the french exit exam, but if you put in effort you can get good grades on the texts. If french is not your strong suit, I don't think you will do good. There is a lot of homework at the beginning of the semester so it can be very overwhelming, but you get better and faster as you do more of them.

À la rencontre des premiers peuples. 3/4 assignments (oral, project, essay and essay) are in teams. The projects are long and complicated make sure you pick a good partner. Buy the Books you need them, they are interesting so its not a waste. You will read 3 books. Stressful class when your french is lower than average but she is a relatively easy grader.

Be sure to pay attention in class, she doesn't post her powerpoints on Omnivox to encourage the group to pay attention. If you do the weekly homeworks she gives, you'll do well in her class. Teacher is very nice and ready to help you if you need to.
