There are pretty lengthy reading assignments (the texts and the answers to the questions are long). Personally, I found them doable and interesting, but if you're someone who hates reading or writing a lot, maybe it's not for you. Still, she let you answer in point form, which I found really nice. There was one long (40min) group presentation at the end of the semester, but again, it was doable. Over all, I loved my experience in her class. The class itself is really interesting if you listen, and she even let us pick one religion we wanted to learn more about and made a class on it (Daoism).
She is a super kind, funny and great teacher. I had her for Orientalism and there is quite a bit of work to do; there are readings, content analysis' and a big group presentation sometime during the semester. She gives a few quizzes that you need to do some minor studying for, but she warns students ahead of time for every assignment/quiz. Just make sure you've read the readings she gives thoroughly and that you manage your time with bigger work. Otherwise the class is really fun.
Do reading assignments and you'll be fine!
