For the knowledge class, write EXACTLY what the teacher says and put on the board. Always, always, always write the examples in your notes and revise+ understand them, they will be useful for the exam. Read the book a few times (around 10 pages per chapter, so 20-30 pages per week max). There is an in-class assignment at the end of each class, make sure to get it right, they are free grades.

Lectures will most likely be confusing so be sure to take very detailed notes of what is said. He will refer to his examples in the future so be sure to write them down. You will have one question to submit at the end of each course (very easy) and will have a report of 100-200 words each week. Be sure to write EXACTLY what is said in class in your reports, as that will get you good grades. If you can pick up on this teachers grading style, you can easily get in the 90s.
