If you are struggling with understanding any material you are not alone. I would strongly suggest getting a good tutor as fast as possible. Try really hard not to fall behind, things move fast and it will become difficult to catch up. If you do fall behind because things happen you can still do it but be prepared to work extremely hard. Do practice problems and make sure you understand very well before tests. This will become easier if you review the material consistently. Do well on the labs because while they require a lot of time and effort, the grades are easier to get there.
Absolute worse chem teacher at Dawson; he's abusive towards his students, yelling at the entire class when he is impatient, and making sure to insult you personally after asking a question. He has absolutely no leniency regarding technical difficulties that you may have and will make you feel like an idiot for even attempting to reason with him. He does not respond to mios at all if it does not convene him, leaving you feeling like you are powerless regarding a situation. If you do have a situation that you ask him personally to address with you after class, he will kick everyone off so that way they won't see how awful of a person he is when he is 1 on 1, coming from personal experience. Not only does he explain things poorly, but he makes you feel like garbage for not understanding what he is saying. Absolute 0/10, avoid him like the plague.
You better make a groupchat with your classmates because he does not like when you ask him questions.
