You have to write a lot of essays for him and he is pretty strict when it comes to grading essays. He kept telling me that my thesis statement and argument were good when I went to his office hours, but I always lost marks because my essay wasn't specific enough. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a satisfactory grade in my essays and he didn't really help me in that sense. Otherwise, he is very kind and tries his best to make the course easy to understand and I actually learned a lot in his existentialism course.
