Pay attention in class, it is a class about the details, as well as the big picture. Write down as much information as you can, and you'll do well. Read over them and memorize some of it, and you'll do even better. Be prepared for a couple of pop quizzes about the readings. Learn a bit about the context of the event or subject being taught, it will help deepen your understanding of the subject, in turn making it easier for you. (Class: WWII's Long Shadow)

Mr. Lowe does an excellent job of making the material easy to digest, due to is very well structured class and teaching method. He goes over the reading in detail, picking and analyzing important passages by linking them to other readings and to real-world facts and history. This has the effect of deepening our knowledge considerably, compared to simply reading the book and answering questions about it. He also knows that 4th English Class students have (generally) passed the Exit Exam and have successfully completed 3 past English courses, meaning that he has made this class quite "easy" to pass and succeed.

I absolutely loved having class with Chad. It was a delight. He really helped me understand how to use a college level english in my essays and made me appreciate the books I was reading in the context of his classes.
