Now the class is quite nice, but before, Mr. Karges made it a nightmare. Anyone in Grade 10 and above who had this class would understand me.

Make sure to remind him daily to update your mark. He always forgets and when the midterm comes, you'll end up with a 50% even if you've gotten 100% on all the work.

Pay attention and do NOT use your phone. Hand in work on time. Do not be lazy. Follow all instructions. Be respectful.

dont expect to get even average marks. his marking is very vague and is impossible to know until the marks are printed on the report card. if you need help youll get ridiculed if youre lucky or ignored for the other 90% of times when you ask. many projects are done in a lineup so if there isnt enough time to get your turn to start, the project that you never got an opportunity to start will still count towards your final grade. speaking about marks, if some aspect of the curriculum gets cancelled, youll have to pay with a lower mark on a part of the curriculum that you never did. whenever you finish a project, he will try to nitpick mistakes and take off plenty of marks to justify the low final mark. and believe me, none of what i just said was exaggerated.

No matter how many 100s you get it will always round down to a 60. Your exact mark will always be a mystery until you open your report card. Never have high expectations in this class.

If you're a boy, you're cooked. Expect writing 1500 word reports daily and due the next day. Be prepared to write 20 of them. He doesn't care about marks at all and gives you a mark based on how much he likes you.

although it is possible, dont even start thinking about getting a mark above 70 for guys or 90 for girls. he said in his own words that it is impossible to get above 90 in his class. even if you got above 90 for every single assignment hell still give you an absurdly low mark such as a 59 if youre a guy or a 75 if you are a girl. his justification? "in class observations" what he is implying is that if you stop working for even a second, that drops the observation mark to a 50 because you are lazy and "not hustling" i highly recommend against picking any tech related course just because of how likely you will receive this teacher. he genuinely took a subject that i would otherwise enjoy to a class that i dread going to.
