It helps to know coding basics outside of the class, as sometimes material on the test is either not covered in class "lessons" or is mentioned briefly in passing. Also the lessons are more like demonstrations of how to code certain programs, and often he challenges the class to figure it out on their own before he gives the answer. Again, knowing basic code helps.

you should definitely give him chocolates for valentines day. It is imperative that said chocolates are delivered one at a time by a different person each time. At least 7 chocolates. He loves it >:)
