The tests and quizzes she takes usually have way more complicated exercises than the ones we are taught in class and in the textbook. She always plugs a thinking question at the end of tests that are at next grade level. She can be aggressive. Gives tests way too often. Doesn't take your other course's work into consideration. Often gives 2 tests in one week.

For her law and politics classes, there is a lot of writing involved. Spend most of your time reviewing all of the case studies you learned in class! Her test layouts are the same for any class you're in with her. There is typically one page of multiple-choice (related to case studies, definitions, and key parts of the law you were taught for the unit). There are some short answer questions related to definitions and case studies. The long answer question is basically your opinion on something in law/politics. My advice for the long answer question is to justify your answer with LOTS of key materials from the unit.

She likes to see specific content from the handouts/textbooks, so make sure you memorize the points instead of just the general idea. Even articles that you think are not significant will pop up on tests and stuff so be sure to pay attention

Mr. Hicks is hands down one of my most favourite teachers OF ALL TIME. His teaching style is so great, the topics covered in class are basically ingrained in your brain even if you don't pay attention too much. He's a fair marker and a fun teacher to have. He's always happy to help and offer you his advice on your projects. One of the best parts about him is if you're unsure about an assignment or if you just want to check in, Mr. Hicks is always more than happy to look over your work and tell you what you could improve on/include. He always covers what's on tests/exams in class and for the time I had him, I received ZERO homework.

Ms Iacobucci is a very fun teacher. She makes math really interesting and explains concepts very well. However, you definitely cannot goof around and do whatever you want in her class. Make sure you do your homework daily and pay very close attention to her lessons, in order to do well. If you do, then you will have a great time in her class.

Peters is a good teacher, if you make your sketchbook pages appealing and participate in class you’ll do fine. Always make sure to use PEN when writing in your sketch book. And she marks EVERYTHING!!

Mr. Rehn is my favourite gym teacher that I've had throughout my entire academic career. He's super funny and chill. All you have to do in his class to get a 95+ is listen to what he says. He doesn't talk much but all he asks is that you be respectful while he's talking. When he's not talking, you can go crazy in his class. His main thing is to teach students sports while having fun.

For the writer's craft class, don't have high expectations. Very disorganized course layout. She has no plan on how to run the course. She told us that we would journal almost every day but we only journaled once or twice before she took our journals and never gave them back. You don't need to take notes because you learn absolutely nothing. Lots of masterclasses and ted talks and not much learning from the teacher herself.

Do well on labs, do not leave studying to last minute. Dont stress exams, most things on the reviews arent even on it but still make sure to get through it well. Make sure you know the material, and focus in class and dont slack off or itll be bad for your grade. Super chill and easy teacher to catch up, very grateful to have her to be fair she taught well and helps everyone succeed.

There are usually at least 3 questions that are miswritten/wrong/have wrong answers on the quizzes, tests, and exams. Always do a proper Google search at home when you receive tests. You will almost always have a few questions that were graded wrongly. Do self-studying. Learn from Youtube videos. You will rarely learn anything in-class, so use that time and your time after-school to self-study all of the content.

Mr Sheridan is a great teacher, it is easy to do well in his class. I would say to sit towards the front as he isn't very loud but just listen in close. If you need an extension or some help, anything he will definitely be happy to help

I was in her Challenge & Change class and tbh the course itself isn't really hard. The assignments were easy 90s but the tests required memorization, which makes sense because it's a social science course--anthro, soc, and psych are typically heavily quantity-based subjects. So if you wanna do well on tests, memorizing terms, theorists, theories etc. is really important. Overall the course isn't too hard.
