He is one amazing teacher. Mr Kanowitz does not require much memorization of terms, but rather an understanding of the logic behind the physics and mathematics involved. As long as you all the homework questions assigned (which are not checked or marked) and get help with questions you don't understand, you should do extremely well in his class. He is one of the very few teachers at AY who actually teaches and cares about the quality of teaching and learning that students receive. If not the, he one of the best teachers at AY. He will prepare you extremely well for university if you are going into the sciences. Surely he is the best teacher in the science department at the school.

Mr. Kanowitz is the best teacher I’ve had at A. Y. Jackson Secondary School. His lessons are knowledgeable and informative and he shows all the work on the whiteboard. As long as you pay attention in class and complete the handouts and homework (optional), you will succeed in this class. It is highly enjoyable and useful for anyone entering fields of STEM. I’ll also recommend it to anyone who’s looking for another course to take. 10/10 experience!
