- read the material properly and understand it - ask questions!! - do the references/bibliography to the level of perfection - hw is usually "optional", but highly recommend doing it - take advantage of projects/assignments bc they are mark boosters - tests are usually formatted using scantrons and short-answered questions that are highly application heavy
Thoroughly study the material outside of class (for tests and quizzes). Youtube helps a lot! For presentations always follow her instructions to the T. because she will grade very strictly. You should design it uniquely and properly if you don't want to lose a lot of marks for nothing. Thorouly read through and memorize textbook questions that she assigns(she assigns even the most irrelevant details). Her short answer questions apply things to real life situations so you have to think outside of the box. Be as specific as possible mentioning every relevant detail or else you (your grade) will be punished for it.
For someone to succeed in the class, they'd have to be willing to do the work. Study hard and study more than the handouts given. There will be topics that have not been covered in class on the tests. If you find yourself not knowing or understanding anything, don't feel too bad about yourself. Memorize any formulas for physics and practice a lot of the chemical balancing exercises for the chemistry unit.
