Doing the homework is probably the best way to do well in his classes. It may be a lot sometimes but the questions cover most of what you learn and if you encounter one you don't get he will be happy to explain how to do it or look through what you did and show you what you did wrong.
Just take notes and listen. That's all you need to pass. If you are passionate about the subject, Mr. Kaiser is an excellent teacher already so you will have no trouble succeeding in his courses.
