1. Don't worry about your grades. He knows better than to mark you by those. Worry about learning and you'll get the mark you deserve. Worrying about marks like you have been conditioned to do will only make you lose them. 2. Do your homework and be responsible. Make sure to check the website every day. Stop printing your worksheets in the library at 8:15 AM or in tech class. Seriously. 3. Make sure you do a lot of practice problems so you can complete the evaluations comfortably. Some of them might caught people off guard in terms of time, but this can be fixed with more practice. 4. Make sure to ask questions. It's way more efficient to ask then to comb through the internet searching. This applies for any class. 5. His teaching style is different. Don't expect to learn everything in class and only have homework outside of class. It's somewhat of the opposite. Many people disagree with this idea and say "he doesn't teach anything! " because of this, but in general the application of knowledge is harder than learning that knowledge and a lot of his class time is actual hands-on physics demonstrations. You'll learn to appreciate these over your years of school if you don't already. 6. You get what you deserve in his class. Don't try to BS anything. 7, Stop procrastinating already. You'll do better in every course AND have more time for relaxing if you plan properly. 8. Actually listen to everything he says. Sometimes he gives important life lessons that are very true. You can't get those anywhere. I wish I recorded all of those quotes somewhere.

I would say the biggest advice for Mr. Fong's class is that you learn the concepts properly and ask a lot of questions. I worried too much about the marks, so I slacked a lot in the actual learning portion of the course. Make sure you pay attention when he is teaching in class and do practice questions from the textbook or just the sheets he gives. This is especially useful if you're doing a unit that's heavy on Math, such as Kinematics, which I did very poorly on in Grade 11 Physics due to the fact that I did not put enough practice in. I'll also recommend that you search up videos on YouTube for the topic you're working on in class and learn from that as well. I found YouTube and online website to very helpful as well. Other than that, just focus on the learning, and let Mr Fong worry about the marks. Oh and most important rule - DON'T MAKE MR FONG LOOK BAD!
