Front of the class. Talk to him, start conversations. He does not care if you use your phone in class.

just participate and take notes and ur good he's a great teacher

add notes to his handouts and dont throw them away. tests are fairly straightforward and he allows periodic tables and reactivity series etc. Labs are fun and generally pretty easy
