The lessons can tend to be a little unclear, make sure to go home and seek further help to understand the lesson. Watch Youtube videos, ask your parents, ask other students. Mr. Nic has very short lessons, and the majority of the class is supposed to be taken up by textbook work, however it is completely up to you whether you do the textbook work or not. In my experience, the students that actually did do the work tended to do better in the class because of the extra practice. As for quizzes and tests, Mr. Nic would take questions directly from the textbook, therefore the best way to study would be to do those textbook questions and ensure that you understand them.
