Mrs. Bonnar gives you all the instructions and tools required to do really well in Geography. Make sure to take notes during class, and ask about the material. I'd recommend to go home and look over your notes, just to make sure you have the key components down. Keep ALL your notes and handouts, as you will need them come exams. Mrs. Bonnar provides study guides for every test and exam, and even notifies the class when she recommends you start studying. She is a teacher that wants you to succeed.

Keep all your notes and sheets untill the end of the semester, they will come in handy. Participate in class discussions and make a schedule for when you will complete assigned work. Mr. Brinton always gives a few extra days as well, so don’t take that for granted and complete work on time.

During class, Mrs. K writes down the notes at the same time you do, make sure to write down everything she does. If you don't understand something during the lesson, ask questions! Mrs. K is generally busy, so use the your class time wisely. She only does Chapter Quizzes, no tests and they are relatively easy. Just study lightly what she asks you. She mostly is testing your general understanding of concepts, with little to no memory work.

for writer's craft: - no technology allowed, everything is written in a notebook including warm ups, excercises, and assignments - watch out for hand cramps, there are long stretches of time during class dedicated to just writing, usually about 30 mins or so - participation is extremely important and is marked - workshops and multiple rewrites for every assignment, so be ready to share your work with other people (and make sure you HAVE work to share during workshop days) - you are not required to share your final assignment during publishing days, but dont opt out of sharing because you haven't done the assignment, as the work will have to be handed in PHYSICALLY on said days

I would recommend for essays and projects to ask for clarification to know exactly what the teacher wants. Since English is pretty subjective, to get a good mark I would recommend finding out what your specific teacher is looking for, which sometimes could differ from the rubric they had previously given you. When writing your essays, Grammarly is a savior. I would also read it out loud to myself, which is good when looking at sentence flow and even minor grammar mistakes. During class, pay attention, participate. English is a lot about key concepts that you review in class, therefore if you don't pay attention you may be missing a chunk in your learning.

Copy and paste his test outlines into chat gpt or somewhere that can generate a mock test of varying difficulties. Don’t try to do extra and study things that aren’t on the outlines. Spare yourself the stress and focus on the outline. Or don’t, I actually don’t care
