Class of 2021

Review ALL lecture notes, assigned reading, and homework problems before the tests and exam. There are always questions on his tests that ask for nitty-gritty details, so while it's not impossible to do well, you must study VERY THOROUGHLY!!!

Class of 2021

He's extremely knowledgeable, so don't try to pull a fast one over him by putting minimal effort into your assignments. Hard tests, hard marker, but if you come to him for extra help (even over email), he'll get back to you promptly with very thorough, helpful explanations. I took his class 3 years ago - back then, we weren't allowed to take photos of the slides during lectures, and he didn't post the notes on the class site either. Double-check with someone who had him more recently to see if this policy has changed. If it hasn't, just make sure you take thorough notes during the lectures. Be prepared to put a LOT of work into this class if you want to do well. Mid to high 90s are possible, but only if you are very disciplined. Also, don't be afraid to ask him for help! He really knows his stuff and he'll be happy to see you take the initiative.
