For Grade 12 Computer Science: - Focus on the ISU. The long project time is there for a reason, work on it every opportunity you have because it is incredibly demanding and time consuming. - For the ISU, get a clear grasp on what will be outside of your abilities. Obviously you can research more computing methods, but find what concepts will be too difficult to implement. - Tests are a combination of memorization & application, with a focus on application.

To begin, the class is entirely self-directed, meaning you are expected to pick up new concepts with ease. The instructor of this course, M. Karasinska, is not very helpful when struggling with a concept, and it can be difficult to succeed in this class without a prior knowledge of programming. You may have a better experience with a different instructor, but with M. Karasinska, you will mightily struggle if you don't pick things up easily and/or have a prior knowledge of programming.
