Don't be shy, ask questions! She loves to answer questions and share her wisdom about the industry. She was a very influential person on my post-secondary path. Also, don't be afraid to ask for extensions, she will almost always give them to you if she knows you genuinely need them.

Ask her how her day is. She loves getting to know her students and is really awesome and kind. I had her as my Gr 11 Gifted math teacher and she was incredibly kind, but also very strict. Try not to hand in assignments late, she really hates that.

DO THE HOMEWORK. In every class, but chemistry especially. If you get to the test and you have to do something you've only done in the lesson a couple times, YOU WILL BLANK. Practice a ton, knowing HOW to do a question can be really helpful even if you mess up calculations within it.

He does this weird game throughout the year that will allow you to raise your final grade up by a small amount of points. Like 49% to a 50% or 79% to a 80%. Take advantage, and if you are smart enough, you can be able to choose which assignment you should use to gain a higher mark. I've seen some students be able to jump 5% for their final grade.

for math, just ask and he will help. i've seen him want to help the students who even get in trouble or have a bad rep but is a good person and student. just ask for help. it's worth it.

definitely read at least some of the material he posts, he posts like A LOT of readings at least for politics, but if you're able to grasp the basic concepts of everything you should be fine. focus the most on the assignments he gives you as he marks you heavily on your writing and how compelling it is. Media Monday is also very important to him so make sure you try your best on that.

Review your notes and do the homework! There won't be any surprises on the tests, questions similar to the test ones will be in your assigned review/practice questions. There will also be example questions done in class; these are extremely helpful to pay attention to and write down.

I would recommend attending classes, a large amount of what is on the tests is covered in class and only in class. This is especially true for her Philosophy course as taking detailed notes really helps you prepare for the exam. But overall if you are engaged in the class you'll learn a lot and pass with a good grade.

She explains topics very well and conduct class discussion throughout the class which is really fun, the only thing is that she is slow with mark updates. you won't get one until mid terms and finals.
