I have had Mr. Brooks for grade 10 art, and grade 11 graphic design. Art is an extremely note-taking-heavy class when I took it, and you are required to hand in your notebook at the end (so if you doodle, I recommend doing it on another sheet of paper). The tests are moderately difficult, but if you're good about your note taking, doing the textbook worksheets, and paying attention, only a minimum of studying is really required. Also, if studying melancholia, remember the what the artist's monogram looks like as that is on the test at the end- there are no other questions in any of the other tests that require you to reproduce a symbol or drawing.
