Instead of just memorizing facts, make sure that you can apply your knowledge to application questions. For example, Diabetes Mellitus many organs and systems so don't just look at the basic effects of that disease because there is more to it!

I had Henkelman for AP bio 30 this year. In terms of knowledge, he is one of the best teacher's I have had. He is very eloquent and stays on topic which really helps me to engage in what we are learning. However, some may question his method of teaching. A pro would be that his lecture-like teaching sets you up for university. A disadvantage of this would be that he never really diversifies between visual and written learning styles for the students. So if you aren't a really good auditory learner, good luck in his class. His tests are also very difficult so make sure you study really hard in his class. Especially in AP, as he makes half of the test a written section... that was the worst part of the exams.
