Pay attentively and participate actively, and your good to go! The only boring times are the documentaries, which are 20 minutes long (on average) and only a few times throughout the whole year. A lot of fun and a lot of learning. You can't help but participate.

Pendlebury is real cool and I don't see how you can have a problem with him. I appreciate how much he loves social studies and seems genuinely passionate about Social Studies.

He is a very good and fun teacher. He jokes about how he's "too strict", but from my experience, there's no such thing with him. That might be because my class always listened and he didn't have to shut us up at any point. His class is a class you would want to pay close attention to. He is definitely one of my top teachers.
