Literally nothing can help you unless you: - Live and breathe ELA - Are able to create and finalize an entire shakespearean sonnet, with proper iambic pentameter / syllable counts, within 30 minutes (yes, this is no exaggeration as to what my class had to do, and no she does not care if majority of the class fails to hand in the assignment on time. No one finished the sonnet that day, and she only changed the due date when she saw no one hand in full sonnets.) - Have enough time to devote at least 30min to an hour daily after school on reading - Be able to spend at least 3-6hrs after school to finish assignments that were assigned that day (they're almost always due the next day) - Be super introverted and willing to go through creating "embarassing" / "cringey" poems / stories, which aren't so bad until the teacher suddenly states in the middle of class that everyone has to present their work in front of the class and explain the how's and why's of your work, your thought process, etc. - Be comfortable without technology.
