Listen to the Luch. He's not here to trick you but to help you. If you are struggling don't be afraid to go to other teachers for help either. He's fair and just if you deserve more marks he'll provide what you deserve. Just listen and honestly have fun.
Mr. Mackinnon is really a wonderful person and a wonderful teacher. Though I would highlight or write little notes into the note book he gives you, it can be easy to overlook what the class has gone over and then realize you need to study it more and now you have to spend a couple minutes flipping through pages. Plus highlighting key notes makes the material easier to remember. His class is an easy 80 or higher along as you pay attention, ask questions or do your work. Essentially, just participate in the class and you will do fine.
Straight up one of the easiest and funniest classes I've ever had. Amazing teacher and person in general, if you have him you're lucky.
