I had Mr. Devereaux for a French social studies class and I loved it! I'm not usually into that subject but he makes it interesting and gets the class involved which definitely helps me remember! The hardest part is that it's also in French but Mr. Devereaux makes sure that we learn all the right words and always answered my emails quickly if I needed help with any assignments. I would 10/10 recommend him as a teacher!

Mr. Devereaux was a teacher I had heard about in my first semester of grade 12, my best friend told me how little they did in class and how pointless everything seemed. I have him in semester 2 of grade 12 and it's way worse than I thought it would be. Class is incredibly boring, I feel like we aren't even moving forwards. I cannot tell where we are in the class at this point. I've been talking to other students and they have no idea what is happening half the time. We are given nothing to do in class, and we aren't even taught the subject thoroughly, we are simply given the subject of the unit, then given 20 pages from the textbook we have to read, and around 10 questions we have to answer. It feels pointless.

I had Mr Devereaux for 12th social studies in French. At first I was worried because I thought it would be hard in French but he made it easy and fun to participate so it was easier to remember. He made sure he was available whenever we needed any help with anything even after class especially since we did a lot online because if COVID. I would 10 /10 recommend Mr Devereaux as a teacher!

Sadly, I strongly dislike this class. I used to be good at Social Studies and I used to love studying it, but I have average grades and my test scores are garbage because I simply cannot learn the way that Mr. Devereaux teaches. His classes are brain-melting, it sometimes pains me to know I have to go to this class in the morning and do virtually nothing for an hour and twenty minutes.
