Mr. Fuhr is a very nice person, but I had a hard time in his class. His lessons are somewhat confusing and difficult sometimes. He gives out worksheets sometimes during the class, which can be helpful, but there isn’t much else to do. He uses Powerpoints as his lessons sometimes, but mainly he stands infront of the class and talks the whole time as his lesson so be sure to pay attention. Personally, I am a hands on learner, so I like writing my notes. There is very little taking notes in this class, so make sure you are alert while he is teaching. He is always there if you need to go over any essays with him. I had a hard time in his class, so just make sure not to slack off and to listen. At the end of the year, there was very little assessments to go off of, so my final grade was kind of bad. We only did like 3 quizzes throughout the entire year, and mainly writing assignments. Overall, he is a very kind person, but his lessons can be confusing.
If you have him for social, take it seriously!! For some option that you might not care too much about, it might come as a shock to how seriously he takes it. As for having him for a core class like social, I want to emphasize that he is very much difficult. I'm sure that there's people that do well in his class, but they all took it very seriously. In 30-1, he hands out these large written tasks, they're pretty much 5+ pages of long/short answer. Not all test material is reviewed in class. If you are not good at thinking philosophically/analyzing ideologies, good luck!!!
