This is about AP Psychology. To do well, you must read the text and other readings thoughtfully and on time, and study each concept, theory, and significant research study for mastery, for understanding. The multiple choice questions on the tests are high level, application, not definition-based. You need to really understand the material to answer them. Also, there will be questions on things not discussed in class. Sauer does a great job using class to teach the hard stuff. I learned a lot in class, but you need to study the handouts, readings, and text too!!

Class of 2020
The reason I'm here is that this is my favorite class and teacher ever, by a lot. Sauer is honest and genuine, wicked smart, sarcastic/funny, and knows how to get you a 5 on the AP Psych exam. MH has a lot of good teachers, but Sauer treated me like an adult, and I really appreciated that. He freaks me out with his knowledge of so many things -- I think he could teach anything. I worried I might lose my 4. 0 because of this class, and I got really angry when he told me I wasn't studying hard enough. 6 hours isn't enough??? Well, it wasn't. Some of the units have hundreds of terms, several big theories, and lots of research studies. This class taught me how to study in college, and to not doubt my abilities, and that it really isn't about ability; it's about preparation. Have I mastered the material? No, then I'm not done preparing. Thanks Sauer.
