Expect to teach yourself--memorize the formulas. The exams ONLY test you on whether you remember them or not. You will receive a low grade even if you are able to come to the same conclusion via a different path. The asinine course structure and instructor values stymies creativity and only rewards those who are able to plug and chug. Ridiculous. All of the short answer questions are solvable by working backward or by engaging simple logic, yet you are expected to memorize equation after equation. Punishing those who don't think about the course material in a conventional way is not an effective way to teach and only sets students up for failure. Instructor values are puerile, only caring about how quickly they can do away with the grading. The course does not value problem-solving in the slightest. This class will continue to fail its students unless some serious restructuring of the core values in the class occurs.
