This is an English class so you expect to do writing in this class. The essays are primarily easy and about half of them are group projects if your into that kind of thing. The grading system like all Gig Harbor HS English teachers is very poor. This is not necessarily the teachers fault as they are all subjected to it but some of the teachers agree and use it more than others. Unlike most English teachers there is an incentive in the form of a grade with day to day work.

This teacher is very passionate about the subject and creates a very engaging environment. The teacher at times may seem upset but they are just a little socially awkward. They really do enjoy teaching their class and are very understanding. In my opinion, one of the best English teachers at this school. Both classes English 9 and AP Language and Composition are very engaging and fun classes. You won’t regret taking either one. Just remember that AP Language and Composition is still an AP class! Don’t slack off or you’ll suffer the consequences.

Gossler is a top tier teacher. If i were to go back to freshman year i would definetally take this class again, it is a required class but as required classes go Gossler makes it fun and interesting for even the laziest of students
