memorize the poems 3x a day guys!!!!! no cap she will sneakily bring up a long forgotten poem and do a speaking test sometimes she grades the onenote pages but other times she doesn't do the onenote pages and consistently add them on b/c she started checking them there is class policy it's really obvious that she has favorites

do NOT get on his bad side. otherwise hes super funny and zesty :) please actually do practice though. nobody wants to clap the rhythm for 15 minutes because YOU didn’t practice. it’s not drassals fault he gets mad because your lazy bum didn’t want to practice. i swear guys just practice and you won’t have a reason to complain anymore.

quizzes - a good amount of quizzes compared to other seventh grade AL classes (vocab from greek and latin roots, logical fallacies, a whole ton of grammar like punctuation, sentence fragments and run ons, but i feel like the parts of speech ones are the ones you need to prepare for the most), you do get time a review quiz/time for most of the tests so thats good, the vocab ones aren't worth a lot on your grade so don't stress on those essays/writing - 2 major essays i feel like (for me it was the one on Scott Orson Card's Ender's Game and Orwell's Animal Farm), a few letters (banned book letter and Edgar Allan Poe's the Tell Tale Heart legal defnese), and other smaller things like mindmaps and posters sprinkled throughout. so just in general do her work and come to her tutorial (which for me happened to only be on monday and thursday) if you need help, she gives good advice so always have her check your thesis and whatever

most goated teacher for alg 1 in middleschool, basiclly a free A. prob finish ur i ready and finish hw. Tests weigh a lot, but she puts in quizzes to bump up grades

there is a good amount of writing in the class, and she grades kinda harsh... but good thing is that she tells you the homework at the start of each class to put into your planner :)
