Class of 2019
After four years of high school, I can confidently say that Ms. Kelly has been the most impactful teacher at Oakton. Teaching high-level math classes isn't an easy job, but Ms. Kelly makes it look easy. It is clear that she is very passionate about teaching math, but what makes her stand out above other teachers is her willingness to go above and beyond teaching. In addition to the numerous clubs that she sponsors at Oakton, Ms. Kelly is active in building relationships with all of her students both in and out of the classroom. Before unit tests, you can always expect a fun and engaging review game for bonus points, and throughout the year she will often ask for the latest math memes. Ms. Kelly will make appearances at many extracurricular events as well, such as football games, musicals, and more. Ms. Kelly is more than just a teacher, and you should consider yourself very lucky to be her student and consequently her friend.
