If you are non-white, make sure to do *everything* on time, without exception, even if you have to sacrifice quality. You will not be graded for quality but for your racial background, so don't give him the opportunity to take points away from you.

Do not expect for meticulousness to gain you better grades. It is more than likely that any commitment to rationality and knowledge will actually lead to lower grades than if you'd just parrot back the viewpoints of the instructor word-for-word. Make sure to never do quizzes and other MC assignments late; these will be the only things holding your grade up, since the teacher cannot simply take off points randomly whenever he wants. Expect for almost every quiz to be text-book based.
