Depending of what section of Mr. Koch's classes you take might depend on how much work is required. I personally know nothing about AP Capstone, so I will speak on behalf of World 1 HN and World Civ's perspective. For me in World Civ 1, the class is quite tolerable, and though there are higher expectations presumably, they are manageable. So as long as you work hard, take notes, do all the homework, the latter being something Mr. Koch stresses, you should get an A in the class.

Mr. Koch's class is definitely my favorite class I have ever had the privilege to take. He gives fabulous lectures that are not only interactive but that are also really interesting and important to the class. Make sure you pay attention during these lectures, and you will do well. There is a fair amount of reading, and each day, there is either an open-note or table-group quiz based on the prior night's reading. Although these quizzes do not make up the bulk of one's grade, doing well on them is vital to doing well in the course. Honestly, if you are in Mr. Koch's class, you are bound to have a great year, as his lectures are great, and the general environment is warm and fun.

Mr. Koch is a very nice teacher, his sarcasm, jokes, and puns are amazing, and he makes history really fun, and is said to be one of the best World History teachers in our school, so you're really lucky if you get him, he is a very nice person.
