Overall his class structure is super lax, which is great for some, but so lax that it is often to the detriment of students. Many assignments won't actually be handed in for a grade, but do them all anyways because they occasionally will be for-credit when you don't expect it. Due dates either aren't communicated well or frequently adjusted, so do the homework as soon as it's assigned. Mostly lecture based, but it's easier to learn material by being engaged in class than taking extensive notes. Doesn't have office hours, so drop-in appointments aren't possible; email him to schedule. I was dual-enrolled in the AP Euro and Seminar courses under Hodges, and the homework load for Seminar wasn't too intensive until prep for the final exam. Take both if you're up for the challenge his class structure presents, because it's pretty easy and the Capstone program that includes Seminar looks good on academic records.
