Just because you're good at art, does not mean that this class will come easy for you.. In most of Edwards' classes, you focus on both physical and digital art -- which means that you are going to have to get comfortable and familiar with Adobe platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. ). Edwards will teach you how to properly use these platforms, but my advice would be to practice using these platforms outside of school. If you have access to a computer at home, and have a school account, then Adobe apps will be free for you to use. Digital art is definitely something to get used to, and everyone can use the practice. This class will be much more fun if you know your way around a computer :)

don't count on the teacher to set you up for success. you are the only one who can do that for yourself as far as this class is concerned. also, your success needs to be defined by being better than your personal best. the teacher won't agree, but you have to ignore his opinion on the matter.

This class has a lot of memorization. But one very nice thing is that she gives you a syllbus at the beginning of every unit with assignment due dates and test dates. very helpful!

World History -- How this class is organized is pretty simple: a vocabulary sheet at the beginning of every unit, a couple assignments, and a test (multiple choice questions and one essay question) at the end of every unit. My advice for this class is to TAKE NOTES.... (he lets us use them during the tests :0). Modern War -- We didn't have any tests in this class; it just consisted of small assignments and projects. Projects such as essays, slideshows, posters, etc. (a couple of group projects are included in this course). My advice is to not focus all your time on note-taking (you can't use your notes on the tests because... there are none), but instead just focus on the lessons. Sometimes we miss significant parts of lectures because we are too busy recording the lectures. So just listen and you'll probably be fine. Also, it's a class on warfare, so it's pretty sick (in the good way and the bad way).
