If you really want to make the most of orchestra, try and take advantage of as many opportunities outside of class as possible. Work on district/region/state, do yosa, take private lessons if you can, etc. If you can't though, the main thing is really just to practice.

You're treated like an adult in that you really have free rein to do anything during lectures, can be on laptops/phones, and assigned homework is rarely checked. However, using the time Hendrix gives you in class to do what needs to be done will pretty much leave you with no calculus related work outside of class, including studying. Use that to your advantage. Tests are not hard, just fast and long, so you need to be able to recognize what you need to do for the problem and execute quickly. Group tests are actually pretty helpful in terms of studying for the test.

AP Chem is a great but difficult course. The best way to stay on track is to not get behind learning material and come prepared to class so that you can follow along during lectures. You're allowed to ask him for tips about your lab before you turn them in, along with all hws so utilize that.

Honestly, the easy way to do well in her class is just do the readings. And try to do them when they're assigned so you understand lectures during class. Also, you can do online chapter quizzes before quizzes and test. If you don't read everything, at least use the textbook outlines online. Really though, it's so much easier if you just read and take advantage of open note.

You get what you put into the class. It's an easy A that you can get basically without trying at all, but you won't know any french. On the flip side, it'd actually be hard to learn french in this class even if you were trying. At most, unless you're a native speaker, you'll come out with basic french 1/french 2 knowledge.
